International mobility of researchers of IGN

The project is aimed at strengthening of international cooperation and development of scientists from the Institute of Geonics of the CAS. The implementation of the project will contribute to strengthening cooperation with major research organizations and their scientists. The implementation of individual mobility contributes to the development of both the participants themselves and the workplace. Higher publishing activities and engagement of the IGN in international project solutions can be expected at the same time.
The aim of the Project
The objective of the project is to exploit the potential of foreign researchers in the Czech Republic and to internationalize research, to transfer foreign experiences for the development of the UGN through the involvement of high-quality researchers from foreign countries and to support the professional development of young researchers by acquiring new experiences and practices abroad. The final goal is strengthening of the Czech science and research. The objective of the fellowship is also the subsequent transfer of the experience gained to other UGN staff during the return phase of the project implementation.
What activities in the project will be implemented
A total of 5 activities will be carried out: Working stay of post-doc from abroad in the Czech Republic, working stay of a senior researcher from abroad in the Czech Republic and 3 working stays of junior researchers abroad, including the return phase. The internal condition of the internships for candidates/graduates will be the preparation of a high-quality professional publication at a foreign workplace, which will be published in a renowned foreign periodical. Candidate's selection will also take into account the candidate's ability not only to establish cooperation but also to maintain it, his/her potential for further research and the preparation of joint research projects, in order to ensure the efficiency of the funds spent.
